This is the first project that this owner has posted on Projects Pool.
Description :
I need someone to write me a MATLAB,Visual basic, or C++ program that can simultae the free swinging motino of a 3 pendulum System. The pendulums will be attached end to end and can be considered massless. They will each have a set length and 1 mass point on their ends. They will begin from the horizonal positon at rest and then be let go to swing freely down to the vertical potion, back up, and backand forth. The only force in action will be gravity (g=9.8m/s^2).

I would prefer the coder to use the equations of motion method to describe the system. I have attached my thesis on the Equations of motion to the project. I am good on the math side but I do not know enough programming to pull it off. If the math is too complex, than you can just use general physics to guide thesystem.
Length of each pendulum will be 1 meter and the masses on each end will be 1, 2, 3 kg. The intial angles will all be pi/2 radians from the vertical (resting horizontally). I want the program to model the individual movement after the pendulums are let go and then swing independantly while still attached end to end. Angle 1 will be the angle bwteen pendulum 1 and the vertical, angle 2 the same, angle 3 the same. dt needs to be .005.
Deliverables :
I will need the source code and a graphical representation of a movie file showing the movement of the pendulums. It does not have to be a movie, it can just be a 2-d graph.

If this gets done I can promise you more work similar to this project.
